Dong Bei Ren Jia 东北人家
Dong Bei Ren Jia, a Northeastern Chinese Restaurant in Chinatown that has received tons of good reviews online for their authentic dishes that come at a reasonable price. 👍
Especially their sweet and sour pork. The sweet and sour sauce goes just right with the crispy and juicy meat slices.
They also serve caramelized sweet potato, a Dong Bei dish that is rarely found in Singapore. When you pick a piece up, strings of sugar that are being pulled up with the piece would solidify immediately. It’s a must-try at Dong Bei Ren Jia!
Oh, don’t forget their yummy Braised Chicken with Mushroom too!
Sweet and sour pork = 锅巴肉 (Guo Ba Rou)
Caramelized sweet potato = 拔丝地瓜 (Ba Si Di Gua)

Other than that, The Merlion Post would like to recommend you to the Iron Pot Stew! 😋
It’s big enough to feed 5 to 6 bellies, and you are able to choose the ingredients to go into your stew!
Tofu and vermicelli are highly recommended ingredients as they would suck up the flavourful stew!
The stew is so addictive that it would have you going back for more!
